Generic icons appear in the Web Collections folder of Clip Organizer in an Office 2003 program (843607)

SYMPTOMSIn a Microsoft Office 2003 program, when you click a folder in the Web Collections folder in Clip Organizer, you may experience one of the following symptoms:
- You may see generic clip art icons instead of clip art thumbnails.
- You may not be able to browse
files in the Web Collections folder.
- The program may stop responding (hang).
Applications such as Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 may stop responding when you search for clip art. This behavior occurs when the Web Collections check box is selected in the Search in list. Eventually, the search will time out and will return only one or two clip art files. When the Web Collections check box is not selected, PowerPoint 2003 returns results immediately. CAUSEThis problem may occur if all the following conditions are true: - Your computer is behind a proxy server.
- The proxy server prompts you for your user name and password.
- The Remember my password option is removed by a Microsoft Windows policy.
RESOLUTIONThis problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you installed the latest Office 2003 service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix.
