Chapter 03: Figures And Images Incorrectly Placed

The images and figures in Chapter 03 are incorrectly placed. The image and figure placement should be:

Fig 3-9 should be replaced with what is currently 3-7 in the book.
Fig 3-10 should be replaced with what is currently 3-8.
Fig 3-11 should be replaced with what is currently 3-9.
Fig 3-12 should be replaced with what is currently 3-10.

Page 282: Correction To Topologies

On page 282, the descriptions for the supported topologies are not accurate.

Change:
"Small Server Farm
One server running SQL Server 2000 and one server running SharePoint Portal Server 2003 assigned the Web, Search, Job, and Index services.

Medium Server Farm
One or two servers running SharePoint Portal Server 2003 assigned the Web service (more commonly known as front-end Web servers) and running SharePoint Portal Server 2003 assigned the Search, Job, and Index services; and one server running SQL Server 2000.

Large Server Farm

Page 308: Correction To Step 4

On page 308, in step 4, change:

"4. On the IP address And Port Settings page, select the IP address of the cluster in the Enter the IP address to use for this Web site box. Leave the default TCP port of 80 in the TCP port this Web site should use (Default 80) box, as illustrated in Figure 12-26."

To:
"4. On the IP Address and Port Settings page, select All Unassigned in the Enter the IP address to use for this Web site box. Leave the default port of 80 in the TCP port this Web site should use (Default 80) box as illustrated in Figure 12-26."

Page 758: Incorrect Description Of SPBackup.exe Utility

The description of the uses of the SPBackup.exe utility on page 758 are incorrect. The following text changes should be made:

Change:
"However, when run on a server running SharePoint Portal Server, SPBackup.exe will generate a batch file that backs up team sites, personal sites and workspace sites on the server."

To:
"Using SPBackup.exe on a server running SharePoint Portal Server to generate a batch file that backs up team sites, personal sites or workspace sites are not supported. Use the smigrate.exe tool to export and then import these types of sites."
