You cannot view the Subject field, the Location field, or the Reminder list in an appointment when you use Exchange 2000 Server Outlook Web Access (843417)

SYMPTOMS

After you use Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Outlook Web Access to create an appointment for yourself that does not include any other attendees, when you try to view the appointment in Outlook Web Access, you cannot see the Subject field, the Location field, or the Reminder list.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the XML code for the appointment is malformed.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server service pack that contains this hotfix.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use Microsoft Outlook instead of Outlook Web Access to view the appointment. You can then see the Subject field, the Location field, and the Reminder list.
