back to the topIssues that are fixed by the hotfix package
The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package:
841885 Paper source changes from Automatically Select to Manual Feed for Word 2002 documents
The following issue is also fixed in this hotfix package, but it was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- If you click a hyperlink in Microsoft Internet Explorer to open a Microsoft Word document that is stored on a mapped drive, the title bar of the document window is titled as "Document in Internet Explorer" instead of the actual file name. When you try to save changes to the Word document, the Word document is saved to the default save location of the My Documents folder instead of being saved to the original location of the mapped drive.
This issue may occur if the Browse in same window option is not selected for Word documents in Windows Explorer.
To select the Browse in same window option, follow these steps:- Start Windows Explorer. To do this, right-click Start, and then click Explore.
- On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
- On the File Types tab, click DOC Microsoft Word Document, and then click Advanced.
- In the Edit File Type dialog box for the Word Document, click to select the Browse in same window check box.
- Click OK to close the Edit File Type dialog box.
- Click Close to close the Folder Options dialog box.
