The Welcome to Tablet Computing wizard may not display correctly if you open Tablet PC Input Panel when you start the wizard (843138)

SYMPTOMS

If you open Tablet PC Input Panel at about the same time as you start the Welcome to Tablet Computing wizard, the wizard may display incorrectly and may become unusable. The wizard may not appear in full-screen mode, and no buttons may be available that you can use to close the wizard or to use the wizard.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a timing issue. The speed of the computer may affect whether the issue occurs.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, press CTRL+ESC. When you press CTRL+ESC, the wizard returns to its fully operational mode.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
