SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
- You are using either of the following computers:
- A Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3)-based computer that has the MS02-071update installed.
- A Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4)-based computer.
- A smart card reader is connected to the Windows 2000-based computer.
- A smart card is connected to the smart card reader.
- You have configured the smart card removal policy on the Windows 2000-based computer.
- You use the smart card to perform an interactive log on to the Windows 2000-based computer.
- You log off the Windows 2000-based computer.
- You remove the smart card immediately after you log off the Windows 2000-based computer.
After you remove the smart card, the Windows 2000-based computer shuts down. Additionally, you receive the following message:You can turn off the computer now
