You receive the "Your system is low on Windows resources" error message after you join or re-join a meeting in Live Meeting (842946)

SYMPTOMS

After you join or re-join a meeting in Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you may receive the following error message:
Your system is low on Windows resources. Please close as many applications as possible and restart the PlaceWare console.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if your computer has a video card with less than 8 megabytes (MB) of video memory.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use the DirectX diagnostic tool to determine the video memory that is available on your computer. If the available video memory is less than 8 MB of video memory, replace the video card with a video card that has more video memory. To determine the video memory that is available on your computer, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type dxdiag, and then click OK.
  2. Click the Display tab, and then note the values that appear next to Approx. Total Memory.
  3. Click Exit.

Computer and processor

Live Meeting requires a computer that has an Intel Pentium processor with a clock speed of at least 166 megahertz (MHz). We recommend a computer with a Pentium III or faster processor.

Memory

We recommend that your computer has 128 MB or more of RAM.

You can run Live Meeting on the following operating systems:
