"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses" warning message when you try to create or modify a meeting by using the Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook (842945)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to create or modify a meeting by using the Microsoft Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook, you receive the following message:A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?

If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No".

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Live Meeting tries to access the Outlook Address Book and Outlook displays a warning message when a program tries to access the e-mail address book.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, click Yes when you receive the message that is described in the "Symptoms" section to permit Live Meeting to access Outlook. You can also click to select the Allow access for check box, and then specify a short time to access the Address Book, such as five minutes. This warning is a security feature that is included in Outlook.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
