You receive the "Could not complete the operation... " error message when you try to delete notes that are from the Notes folder in Outlook 2003 (842942)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to delete notes that are from the Notes folder in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, you may receive the following error message:

Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when the synchronizing software (such as Outlook Conduits for Palm or for Chapura PocketMirror) between your Palm OS handheld device and your computer conflicts with the Microsoft Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook.

This issue occurs if the Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook was installed after the synchronizing software was installed.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu in Outlook 2003, click Exit.
  2. Remove the synchronizing software on your computer.
  3. Reinstall the Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook.
  4. Reinstall the synchronizing software.
