An invitation does not have the Accept and Decline buttons when an Exchange account delegate opens an invitation for a meeting request in Entourage 2004 for Mac (842880)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac
SYMPTOMSWhen you send a meeting request invitation to your Microsoft Exchange account delegate, and they open the invitation in Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac, the invitation does not have the standard Accept and Decline buttons. CAUSEThis problem occurs because your delegate has access to your Calendar and shares your user identification (UID). Therefore, because the meeting event is in your Calendar, the event also appears in your delegate's Calendar. However, this event does not exist in the delegate's own personal Calendar.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, your delegate can create a meeting event for the same time and date as the meeting event that you originally sent to them, if your delegate wants their own meeting event in their Calendar.STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.
