How to export payee information from Money (842871)

This article describes how to export payee information from Microsoft Money Deluxe and Business 2002, Microsoft Money 2003 Deluxe and Business, and Microsoft Money 2004 Small Business to a comma separated values (.csv) file in your My Documents folder.

To export payee information from Microsoft Money, follow these steps:
  1. Start Money.
  2. Click Accounts & Bills, and then click Categories & Payees.
  3. Click Payees.
  4. Add the payees who you want to export information for to the Customer list. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click the payee who you want to add as a customer, and then click Go to Payee.
    2. On the General information screen, click to select the Customer check box, and then click Done.
  5. Under Contact Manager, click Synchronize data.
  6. Under Contact Manager, click Open contacts.
  7. In the Address Book, click File, point to Export, and then click Other Address Book.
  8. In the Address Book Export Tool, click Text File (Comma Separated Values), and then click Export.
  9. In the Save exported file as box, type the following where <filename> is the name for the new file, and then click Next:

    <filename>.csv

  10. Click to select the check boxes for the information that you want to export, and then click Finish.
  11. Click OK.
