Pages of checks print in reverse order in Money (842869)

SYMPTOMS

When you print a series of four or more checks in Microsoft Money, the pages of checks may print in reverse order. For example, if you print a series of six checks with three checks on each page, the second page of checks may print before the first page of checks.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if there is a problem with the printer driver that is installed on your computer.

RESOLUTION

Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Change the page order

To change the page order, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
  2. Right-click the default printer, and then click Properties.
  3. On the General tab, click Printing Preferences.
  4. Under Page Order, click Back to Front, and then click OK two times.

Method 2: Install a generic print driver

To install a generic print driver, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.
  2. Double-click Add Printer, and then click Next.
  3. Click Local printer attached to this computer if your printer is attached directly to your computer.
  4. In the Use the following port box, click the appropriate port for your printer.

    This port is typically LPT1 (Recommended Printer Port).
  5. Click Next.
  6. Under Manufacturer, click Generic.
  7. Under Printers, click Generic/Text Only, and then click Next.
  8. Under Do you want to use this printer as the default printer, click No, and then click Next.
  9. Click the appropriate printer sharing option, and then click Next.
  10. Under Do you want to print a test page, click Yes, and then click Next.
  11. Click Finish.
  12. Verify that the test page printed correctly.
  13. Start Money.
  14. Click File, and then click Print Checks.
  15. Click Print Setup.
  16. In the Printer box, click Generic / Text Only, and then click OK.
  17. Click Print.
