Cannot extend tail hook in Combat Flight Simulator 2: WWII Pacific Theater 1.0 (842862)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to extend the tail hook on your plane in Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 2: WWII Pacific Theater 1.0, you do not receive notification that the tail hook is down. You cannot see a tail hook from the chase plane view. When you try to land on a carrier, you are waved off on every approach as you get close to carrier, and then you receive a notification to extend your tail hook.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you are flying a plane that does not have a tail hook:
  • P-38F Lightning
  • Nik2-J George
The key command to lower the tail hook is SHIFT+G.
