You receive the "Table does not exist" error message during execution of the Microsoft Operations Manager Data Transformation Services package (842562)

SYMPTOMSWhile you are executing the Data Transformation Services (DTS) package from the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) Resource Kit, the package execution may not succeed, and you receive an error message that is similar to the following: Table does not exist This error may occur during the Copy MOMReplicationTimeStamp procedure. Additionally, the MOM Dts.log file may contain an error that is similar to the following:
Copy MOMReplicationTimeStamp: DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_1 failed on date time. CAUSEThis problem typically occurs when the name of a database that is specified in the MOM DTS package contains one or more characters that are not valid. The database may be the source database or the destination database. For example, the name of the source database contains a blank space or a dash character.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, do not use any special characters in the names of the source databases or the destination databases that are specified in the MOM DTS package.

We recommend that you follow the steps in the chapter that is titled Creating a MOM Data Warehouse for Long-term Reporting. This chapter suggests that you use the name MOM_DATA for the data database and that you use the name MOM_HOLDING for the holding databases.
