RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods,
depending on your situation:
Method 1: Install the certificate
If the certificate is not added to the trusted root certification
authority, install the certificate. To install the certificate, follow these
steps:
- In the Security Alert dialog box, click
View Certificate.
- In the Certificate dialog box, click the
Certificate Path tab.
- Click the General tab, and then click
Install Certificate. The Certificate Import wizard
starts.
- Click Next.
- On the Storage page, click Automatically select the
certificate store based on the type of certificate if it is not
already selected, and then click Next.
- On the Completing the Certificate Wizard page, click
Finish.
- When you are prompted to confirm that you want to install
the certificate, click Yes.
- When you receive the message that the import operation was
successful, click OK.
- In the Security Alert dialog box, click
Yes.
Note If the certificate is installed correctly, the
Security
Alert dialog box does not appear on the screen the next time that you
visit the Web site. If the
Security Alert dialog box does
appear on the screen the next time that you visit the Web site, make sure that
the following conditions are true:
- The certificate is installed correctly on the
computer.
- The name of the certificate is correct, and the name of the
certificate matches the name of the Web site that you want to view.
Method 2: Create a new certificate that matches the name of the Web site that you want to view
If the name of the certificate does not match the name of the Web
site that you want to view, create a new certificate that matches the name of
the Web site that you want to view. After you create a new certificate, install
the certificate by using the steps that are described in the "Method 1: Install
the certificate" section.
