SYMPTOMSOn a Microsoft Small Business Server (SBS) 2000-based computer that is running Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000, you may find that the Exchange System Attendant service does not start, and event ID messages that are similar to the following appear in the application event log: Type: Information

By default, ISA 2000 Server blocks all incoming traffic from the external interface. If Firewall Client is installed on a computer that is running ISA 2000 Server, you will experience networking issues.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, remove Firewall Client from the server, and then restart the server. To remove Firewall Client from the server, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the list of currently-installed programs, click Microsoft Firewall Client, and then click Remove.
- Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm the removal.
