The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Developer Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Enterprise Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Partner Edition
  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 Standard Edition

SYMPTOMS

When you delete a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004-based server from the Business Activity Services (BAS) site, the server may remain in the Department name section of the Business Activity Search dialog box.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Business Activity Search dialog box is populated from cached data from Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). The data will remain with IIS until the IIS is restarted.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, restart IIS. This action will clear the cached data.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Open the BAS Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services site.
  2. On the left side of the page, under Quick Launch, click BizTalk Server.

  4. Register a BizTalk Server-based server that is named Test Registration.
  5. In the left pane of the BAS site, click Business Activity Search.
