You may receive an "Error retrieving actions" or an "Error retrieving activity models" error message when you register actions or activity models by using Human Workflow Services Administration in BizTalk Server 2004 (842456)

SYMPTOMSWhen you have Human Workflow Services Administration installed with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, and you use Human Workflow Services Administration to register actions or activity models, you may receive the following error messages: "Error retrieving actions" or "Error retrieving activity
models" "An error occurred in WMI while
trying to retrieve the list of actions. Please consult
the event logs on the WMI machine for details." CAUSEThis problem occurs because actions that are not valid appear in the actions node or in the activity models node.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Visual
Studio .NET 2003, and then click Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003.
- On the View menu, click BizTalk Explorer.
- In BizTalk Explorer, expand YourServerName, expand Receive Ports,
expand ActionActivationPort, and then expand Receive Locations.
- Locate and then double-click ActionActivationReceiveLocation.
- Click Address (URI), and then click the
ellipsis (...) button.
- In the HTTP Transport Properties dialog box, change the Public Address setting to http://YourServerName/HwsMessages/Activate/BtsHttpReceive.dll, and then apply the changes.
- In BizTalk Explorer, expand Receive Ports, expand ActionInterruptPort, and then expand Receive Locations.
- Locate and then double-click ActionInterruptReceiveLocation.
- Click Address (URI), and then click the
ellipsis (...) button.
- In the HTTP Transport Properties dialog box, change the Public Address setting to http://YourServerName/HwsMessages/Activate/BtsHttpReceive.dll, and then apply the changes.
