The Recording Control Panel option is not available to a member who creates a Meet Now meeting in Live Meeting (842374)

SYMPTOMS

When a member schedules a Meet Now meeting and then tries to select the Recording Control Panel option on the View menu in Microsoft Office Live Meeting, the Recording Control Panel option is not available after the member joins the meeting.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the member's privileges are set to Manage Existing Recordings Only.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, change the member's privileges to Create and Manage Recordings. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. In Live Meeting, log on by using your user logon that has a role of Account Administrator.
  2. Under Administer, click Account.
  3. Click Memberships.
  4. Click the member, and then click Edit.
  5. Under Member Privileges, click to select the Recordings check box, and then click Create and Manage Recordings.
  6. Click Submit.
