You cannot see the Live Meeting add-in toolbar in PowerPoint 2003 when you install the Live Meeting add-in on a computer that is running Office 2003 (842367)

SYMPTOMSWhen you install the Microsoft Office Live Meeting add-in on
a computer that is running Microsoft Office 2003, you cannot see the Live
Meeting add-in toolbar in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003.CAUSEThis problem occurs if you do not have Microsoft Visual
Basic for Applications (VBA) installed on the Office 2003 computer before you
install the Live Meeting add-in.RESOLUTIONTo verify that VBA is installed on your computer, follow
these steps:
- Click Start, click Run,
type explorer, and then click
OK.
- Locate and then double-click the \Program
Files\PlaceWare\PowerPoint Add-In\Readme.txt file.
- The Readme.txt file tells you if VBA is installed on your
computer.
To install VBA on your computer, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Control
Panel, and then click Add or Remove
Programs.
- Locate Microsoft Office 2003, click Microsoft
Office 2003, and then click the Change
button.
- Click Add or Remove Features, and then
click Next.
- Click to select the Choose advanced customization
of applications check box, and then click
Next.
- Locate Office Shared Features, and then
expand Office Shared Features.
- Locate Visual Basic for Applications, and
then click Visual Basic for Applications.
- Click Run from My Computer.
- Click Update.
Note The update requires the Microsoft Office 2003 installation
CD-ROM. - Reinstall the Live Meeting add-in.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft
products that are listed in the "Applies to"
section.
