The Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook does not install (842361)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to download the Microsoft Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook from the Live Meeting Web site or from a partner site, the installation appears to succeed. However, the Live Meeting menu items are not visible in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, and the plug-in is not available in the Add/Remove Programs tool.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Microsoft Windows 98 and Microsoft Windows NT have different requirements for self-registering components such as those in the original versions of the Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook.

Note Microsoft Office 2003 is not supported on Windows 98 or on Windows NT.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use Microsoft Windows Update to download and to install the latest service packs and security releases for your version of Microsoft Windows. We recommend at least Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack 3 (SP3).

This problem is resolved in the current version of the Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook. For additional information about the current version of the Office Live Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Outlook, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
