CAUSE

MCMS 2002 creates global temporary objects on the Microsoft SQL Server server. The global temporary objects always carry the same name regardless of the MCMS 2002 server that is running Site Deployment. Therefore, when you run two Site Deployments at the same time, the two deployments collide in the sense that the two Site Deployment applications try to manipulate the same temporary objects at the same time. This behavior causes the error message that is reported.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
  • Only run one Site Deployment at a time if another MCMS 2002 server or other MCMC 2002 servers are pointing to the same SQL Server server.
  • Move each of your MCMS 2002 databases to separate SQL Server servers.
