You receive a SAS proxy error message when you try to visit a Web site (841992)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, when used with:
- the operating system: Microsoft Windows XP
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to visit a Web site, you may receive the following
error message: You have tried to access a page that you are not authorized to display and were
stopped by the SAS Proxy. CAUSEThis problem may occur if Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 is set to use a proxy server, but a proxy server is not required for the
current Internet connection.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, follow these steps: - Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Network and Internet Connections.
- Under or pick a Control Panel icon, click Internet Options.
- Click the Connections tab, click LAN Settings, and then clear the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Internet Explorer 6.
