You cannot access content from the Windows CE Web server (841899)


The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When a client browser requests content from the Microsoft Windows CE Web server, the client may display messages that indicate that the page cannot be displayed.

CAUSE

Some clients include a sequence of two trailing bytes in HTTP requests. The HTTPD server does not read these two trailing bytes. Typically, the two trailing bytes are not critical to the request. At other times, the HTTP connection is reset when the HTTPD server does not read the two trailing bytes, and the browser does not display the Web page.

RESOLUTION

Prerequisites

This hotfix is supported only when all previously issued hotfixes for this product have also been installed.

Restart Requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu.

Hotfix Replacement Information

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
