The System Monitor uses 100 percent of CPU after two days on a Windows XP-based computer (841694)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the System Monitor (Smlogsvc.exe) through a batch file (.bat) or a command file (.cmd) to create a daily log file, after two days, CPU use may reach 100 percent. Additionally, multiple log files are generated for each day instead of a single log file for each day. This problem occurs on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer.
