Unauthenticated users cannot access conferencing resources in Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server (841577)

SYMPTOMSWhen you install the Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Lockdown Tool, and then you install Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server (ECS), unauthenticated users cannot access conferencing resources.CAUSEAfter you install the IIS Lockdown Tool, anonymous access is disabled for the Conferencing virtual root folder, for the ConferencingPrivate virtual root folder, and for the ConferencingBin virtual root folder. Therefore, unauthenticated users cannot access conferencing resources. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, you must permit unauthenticated users to access conferencing resources. To do this, follow these steps: - Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Services Manager.
- Expand your server.
- Right-click Default Web Site, and then click Properties.
- Click the Directory Security tab, and then click Edit under Anonymous Access and
Authentication Control.
- Click to select the Anonymous access check box, and then click OK two times.
- Right-click Conferencing, and then click Properties.
- Click the Directory Security tab, and then click Edit under Anonymous Access and
Authentication Control.
- Click to select the Anonymous access check box, and then click OK two times.
- Right-click ConferencingBin, and then click Properties.
- Click the Directory Security tab, and then click Edit under Anonymous Access and
Authentication Control.
- Click to select the Anonymous access check box, and then click OK two times.
- Right-click ConferencingPrivate, and then click Properties.
- Click the Directory Security tab, and then click Edit under Anonymous Access and
Authentication Control.
- Click to select the Anonymous access check box, and then click OK two times.
- Close the Internet Information Services window.
