SYMPTOMSWhen you try to paste information that is copied from a
workbook in Microsoft Excel 2004 for Mac into another program, you may not be
able to paste. The Paste command in the Edit
menu may be unavailable.CAUSEThis problem may occur if both of the following conditions
are true:
- You are using Macintosh OS X version 10.2.x.
- You are trying to paste the information into a program that
does not support Rich Text Format, HTML, or PICT.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Copy the information in Excel.
- Start TextEdit.
- Press COMMAND+V.
- Select the text in TextEdit.
- Press COMMAND+C.
You can now paste the information into the text-only
program. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.MORE INFORMATIONInformation in Microsoft Excel cannot be pasted into
text-only programs on Mac OS 10.2.x.
