SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Save as Picture feature to export a Drawing
toolbar object from a Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Standard Edition file, the
picture may not appear as expected when you view the file in a different
program. For example, when you view a rectangle with a six point line weight,
the corners of the rectangle are not square.CAUSEThis problem may occur if you save the picture in Macintosh
Picture (PICT) format.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, save the image in Portable
Network Graphics (PNG) format. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Office 2004 for the Mac Standard Edition, and then
open the file that contains the image that you want to save.
- Right-click the image that you want to save, and then click
Save as Picture.
- In the Format box, click Portable
Network Graphics (PNG), and then click
Save.
STATUS Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Standard
Edition.
