SYMPTOMS
After you turn on auditing of logon and logoff events, the security log on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer may
have multiple entries for event ID 534 that do not have the User Name and
Domain sections filled in. These entries may look similar to the following log entry:

User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Description: Logon Failure:
Reason: The user
has not been granted the requested logon type at this machine.

These entries are associated with unsuccessful logons by
users who are running Microsoft Windows XP on their computers.
RESOLUTION
Service pack information

Hotfix information
