A description of the difference between the TimeStamp property and the _TimeStamp property in Microsoft Speech Server 2004 (841391)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Speech Server 2004 Enterprise Edition
  • Microsoft Speech Server 2004 Standard Edition

INTRODUCTION

When you use Microsoft Speech Server 2004, the TimeStamp property and the _TimeStamp property may contain different values. You can view the difference between the two values by using one of the following methods:
  • View the message that is logged in the application event log from Microsoft Speech Server 2004.
  • Convert the Windows Event Trace log (.etl) file to a text file, and then view the text file.

MORE INFORMATION

When you use Microsoft Speech Server 2004, you may notice a difference between the value of the TimeStamp property and the value of the _TimeStamp property. The TimeStamp property contains the local time of the computer that references the property. The _TimeStamp property contains the time in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) of the application that records the log information. The _TimeStamp property may not contain the same time in UTC of the application that collects the log information. Use the TimeStamp property to determine when an event occurs in Microsoft Speech Server 2004.

Note The application that records the log information may not be on the same computer as the application that collects the log information.
