SYMPTOMS
When you try to add a Lotus Notes database as a content
source to be crawled on a server that is running Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal
Server 2003, you may receive the following error message:
The requested operation failed with error code 0x80042611. No
further information about this error is available
RESOLUTION
This problem was first fixed in a hotfix that is now contained in a service pack. If you installed the latest SharePoint Portal Server 2003 service pack, you do not have to install the hotfix.

This problem is corrected in Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Service Pack 2.

How to configure time-outs for crawling Lotus Notes content sources
After you install this hotfix, you can configure the time-outs that SharePoint Portal Server 2003 needs so that it can crawl Lotus Notes content sources.

To configure the time-outs for crawling Lotus Notes content sources, follow these steps:
- Log on to SharePoint Portal Server as an administrator.
- Click Start, point to Run, and then type regedit.
- Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SharePoint Portal Server - If the value does not already exist, add a new DWORD value named NotesWizardScriptTimeout .
- Specify a value for the NotesWizardScriptTimeout as the time in seconds for the time-out. (For example, you would enter 600 for a ten-minute timeout.)
Note: The default time-out is five minutes (300 seconds).
