How to play the original Zoo Tycoon after you install the expansion packs (841020)

INTRODUCTION

When you install Microsoft Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs Expansion Pack, Microsoft Zoo Tycoon: Marine Mania Expansion Pack, or Microsoft Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection, you can play the game with the expanded list of animals, exhibits, attractions, and plants. You can also select to play the original Microsoft Zoo Tycoon without these new features. This article describes how to select the expansion pack features that are available in your zoo.

To select the available features for a zoo, follow these steps:

Start Microsoft Zoo Tycoon.
Open a saved Zoo Tycoon game or start a new freeform game by using any map.
Click the Construction button in the upper left corner of the screen.
At the top of the window click All, and then click one of the following options:
- All - Play the game with all the installed expansion packs.
- Zoo Tycoon - Play the original game with no expansion packs.
- Dinosaur Digs - Play the game with just the Dinosaur Digs expansion pack.
- Marine Mania - Play the game with just the Marine Mania expansion pack.
Note Your choices depend on the expansion packs that you have installed.

Notes

The Endangered Species theme pack that is included with Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection is only available if you select All or if you select Zoo Tycoon.

You can change the options that are available any time during the game. When you have Dinosaur Digs selected, you cannot hire maintenance workers. Switch the selection to All, hire a maintenance worker, and then switch back to Dinosaur Digs.
