SYMPTOMS

When you check the spelling of text in Microsoft Visio shapes in the Brazilian Portuguese version of Microsoft Visio 2002, the spelling is checked by using the English dictionary, instead of the Brazilian dictionary.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, do one of the following:
  • Upgrade to the Brazilian Portuguese version of Microsoft Office Visio 2003. The Brazilian Portuguese version of Visio 2003 will provide the expected functionality of checking the spelling of text in Visio shapes by using the Brazilian dictionary.   • Do not type the text for the Visio shapes in Visio 2002. Instead, type the text for each Visio shape in Microsoft Word 2002, and then copy and paste the text into each Visio shape. Then, you can check the spelling of the text in Visio 2002 by using the Brazilian dictionary.
