The paths may be blank in OneNote 2003 when you view the Open and Save paths option (840941)

Office OneNote 2003, the path may be blank.
For example, when you view
the path of your backup folder, the path may be blank.CAUSEThis problem may occur if the resource or the location (such
as a network share) is not available.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, do one of the following:
- Wait for the resource or the location to become available.
For example, wait for the network share to become available.
Note When the resource or the location is available again, the path of
the resource or to the location should appear in the Open and
Save paths in OneNote 2003. - Contact your network administrator for availability of the
resource or the location.
- Change the location to a local resource or to a local
location. For example, change the path of a folder on your local hard disk
drive.
Note When you change the path of My Notebook, the
paths for both Notes E-mailed to Me and Other Notes
I've Seen may also be changed to the same local folder. - Check the registry for the path that you should use for the
resource or for the location.
Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft
cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry
Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk.
To check the path for the resource or location,
follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click
Run.
- In the Open box, type
regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\OneNote\Options\Save - Note the path for the resource or the location that you
want.
For example, check the path for
BackupFolderPath to determine the path where your backups are
saved.
