Online documentation error in the BizTalk Server Adapter for FTP Help for the Before Put FTP command and the After Put FTP command (840707)

SYMPTOMS

In the online documentation for Microsoft BizTalk Server Adapter for FTP, the following paragraph is not correct:

Important: Only valid literal commands (raw FTP Commands) are recognized when input as FTP Command Before Put. Commands such as SYST MKD, ABOR, and RMD are valid FTP commands, DOS commands like Dir are not.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

The following FTP commands were added to support IBM mainframe servers and AS400 FTP servers:
  • Before Put
  • After Put
Certain FTP commands do not work with the Before Put command and the After Put command.

To view this topic, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for FTP.
  2. Click Online Help.
  3. In the BizTalk Adapter for FTP dialog box, expand User's Guide, and then expand Configuration.
  4. Under the Configuration element, expand Application Integration Component, and then click BizTalk Send FTP Properties.
On the BizTalk Send FTP Properties page in the right pane, the "FTP Command Before Put" section and the "FTP Command After Put" section are displayed.
