SYMPTOMSWhen you double-click an HTML document that is embedded in Microsoft Word or WordPad, the HTML document may not open in a Microsoft Internet Explorer browser window as expected if another instance of Internet Explorer is already open.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use one of the following methods: - Close all instance of Internet Explorer that are currently open before you open the HTML document in Word or WordPad.
- Do not embed an HTML object in the Word file. Instead, use a hyperlink.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
