SYMPTOMS
When you try to use a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based computer with a file system filter driver, the computer may stop unexpectedly, and you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:
STOP: 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0x80115ab4, 0x00000001, 0x00000000)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Note The third parameter in the error message
may vary with Windows NT 4.0 service pack versions. This parameter may also vary if a kernel hotfix is installed on the system.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the
