SYMPTOMS
When you try to install Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack
4 (SP4), the installation seems to succeed. However, when
the computer restarts to complete the installation of Windows 2000, you
experience a Stop error in the Usbd.sys driver. The Stop error message is
similar to the following:
STOP: 0x0000001E (0xC0000005,
0xF3EC39F5, 0x00000000, 0x01010100)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
You may also receive this error message when one of the following conditions
is true:
- You try to install Windows 2000 from a universal serial bus (USB) CD drive
that is connected to a USB hub.
- You remove a USB compatible digital
camera from a USB hub.
