Controls move to the left of the worksheet in Microsoft Excel 2002 (838910)

SYMPTOMSWhen you insert a control over a cell in Microsoft Excel
2002, and then use Print Preview, the control is repositioned when you return
to worksheet view. To insert a control over a cell, follow these steps:
- Start Excel 2002.
- On the View menu, point to
Toolbars, and then click Control
Toolbox.
- On the Control Toolbox, click the
Command Button icon.
- Move the command button to cell H8.
- On the File menu, click
Print.
- Click Print .
When you return to worksheet view, the command button has moved
to the left, near cell B8. CAUSEThis problem occurs after you install Microsoft Office 2002
Service Pack 3 (SP3). This problem does not occur in Office 2002 versions that
are earlier than SP3.WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, configure the positioning
properties of the command button to the Move and size with
cells option. To do this, follow these steps:
- Right-click the command button, and then click
Format Control.
- On the Properties tab, click Move
and size with cells.
- Click OK.
By default, this option is set to the Move but don't
size with cells option. STATUSMicrosoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
