An address book search is not successful in a program that uses NSPI (838898)

SYMPTOMS

When you run a program that performs an address book search of the Active Directory directory service by using the Name Service Provider Interface (NSPI), the search may not return any results, and the program may quit unexpectedly.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the NSPI does not support property restriction on properties that have multiple values.

RESOLUTION
