Requirements for Microsoft IntelliPoint 5.0

Microsoft Windows-based computer

  • Computer/Operating System: One of the following:
    • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Microsoft Windows XP Professional with a Pentium 233 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor and 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with a Pentium 133 MHz or higher processor and 128 MB of RAM
  • Hard Disk Space: 35 MB of available hard-disk space
  • An available PS/2 keyboard port or USB port
  • CD-ROM drive
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later to view Help files

Macintosh-based computer

  • Computer/Operating System: Mac OS X version 10.1 to 10.2.x.

    Note This does not include version 10.0.
  • Hard Disk Space: 15 MB of available hard-disk space
  • An available USB port
  • CD-ROM drive

Error messages on installation

If you try to install IntelliPoint 5.0 or IntelliType Pro 5.0 on earlier versions of Microsoft Windows, you receive the following error message:
Setup cannot continue because this software version is not supported on this operating system version. For system requirements and compatibility listings, refer to the product packaging.
