FIX: The HTTP adapter fails when you try to send large messages in BizTalk Server 2004 (838535)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, if you try to send a message that is larger than 48 kilobytes (KB) and you are using a proxy, the HTTP adapter fails and you receive the following error message:
The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port "https://www.domain_name.com/production/RetrieveResponse.asp". It will be retransmitted after the retry interval specified for this Send Port.
Details:"Bytes to be written to the stream exceed Content-Length bytes size specified."

RESOLUTION

Service pack information

Hotfix information

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article. This problem was corrected in BizTalk Server 2004 Service Pack 1.
