The following management and administration issue is addressed in Microsoft Windows XP SP2.

The Resultant Set of Policy data is not displayed as expected when you view the Resultant Set of Policy data by using the RSoP snap-in in the German version of Windows XP

When you the view Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP) data by using the RSoP snap-in in the German version of Windows XP, the RSoP data is not displayed as expected. The following symptoms occur:
  • Some of the policy settings are missing.
  • A red "X" appears over some of the policy settings that are displayed.
  • The Userenv.log file contains an error message that is similar to the following:
    WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND

    0x80041002

    The object could not be found.
This issue occurs if the domain name contains particular characters that are incorrectly processed.
