The Next button does not work when you try to balance an account in Money 2003 and in Money 2004 (837884)

To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order that they appear.

Method 1: Repair your Money file

Method 2: Determine the transactions that are corrupted

To determine the transactions that are corrupted, follow these steps:

1. Start Microsoft Money.
2. Click Account List.
3. Under Common Tasks, click Balance an Account.
4. Click the account that you want to balance.
5. Under Enter the following information from your bank statement in the Statement date box, type a date that is earlier than the statement date.
6. Click Next. If the Next button does not work as expected, repeat steps 3 through 5 until you determine the transactions that are corrupted.

Method 3: Delete and re-create the corrupted transactions

To delete and re-create a transaction, follow these steps:

1. Start Money.
2. Click Account List.
3. Click the account that contains the corrupted transactions.
4. Click the transaction that you want to delete.
5. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
6. Under Do you want to delete this transaction, click Yes.
7. On the Edit menu, click New Transaction.
8. On the appropriate tab, type the transaction information, and then click Enter.
