Product Support for Outlook for Mac (837344)

SUMMARY

Microsoft Outlook 2001 for Mac was designed, built, and tested for versions of the Macintosh OS operating system that are earlier than OS X. Microsoft cannot guarantee that Outlook 2001 for Mac will continue to perform as expected on operating systems that are released after Outlook 2001 for Mac. Compatibility among products is typcially addressed by the operating system.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft will not release hotfixes for Outlook for Mac for issues that are caused by operating-system-related issues on Mac OS X. These include issues related to Jaguar (OS/X 10.2.x), to Panther (OS/x 10.3.x), and to all future OS X updates. Microsoft will continue to support issues that are related directly to Outlook for Mac during the ordinary product support life-cycle.

Although Microsoft is no longer doing new development for Outlook for Mac, Microsoft remains committed to Mac products and to Mac customers. All customers are encouraged to explore Microsoft Entourage X for Mac. Entourage X for Mac is designed for OS X. Microsoft will continue to develop Entourage as the premier messaging and collaboration client for the Macintosh.
