You receive stop error 0x00000050 on your Windows 2000-based cluster computer when you move disk resources from one node to another, or when a disk resource goes offline (837067)

SYMPTOMS

If you are using a Windows 2000-based cluster computer, and you move disk resources from one node to another, or a disk resource goes offline, you may receive the following stop error message:

Stop 0x00000050 (0xe3e2ef1c 0x00000000 0xbff05722 0x00000001) in Ntfs!NtfsRemovePrefix+0xc

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
(50)Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except, it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it is pointing at freed memory.

This error occurs when the NTFS file system driver cleans up internal structures on the open volume.
