SYMPTOMS

When you try to configure your Microsoft Broadband Networking hardware by using a saved network settings file, you may receive the following error message:
File not found

CAUSE

This issue may occur if you change the file name from the default file name "Networksettings.xml".

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, do not click My settings are on a floppy on the Where are your network settings located? page in the Microsoft Broadband Networking Setup Wizard. Instead, click My settings are in a file available from this computer, locate the floppy disk drive, and then click your configuration file.
