You do not receive an error message from BizTalk Server 2004 when you test the database lookup functoid with incorrectly set parameter values (836475)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you test the database lookup functoid and the functoid has an incorrect value set in any one of the parameters, you do not receive an error message that warns that the value of the parameter is incorrect.

CAUSE

By design, BizTalk Server 2004 does not verify the value of each parameter when you test functoids. Biztalk Server 2004 only checks that the correct number of input parameters match what is expected. Therefore, BizTalk Server 2004 does not respond to an incorrect parameter value as an error.
