BUG: You do not receive a warning message when you try to use some special characters as wrap characters in BizTalk Server 2004 (836474)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, when you try to use one or more of the following special characters as a wrap character, you do not receive a warning message to notify you that you cannot use these special characters as wrap characters:
  • Pad character
  • Escape character
  • Record delimiter
  • Field delimiter
  • Subfield delimiter

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
