INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to set up online banking in Microsoft Money for a financial institution that does not appear in the list when you set up accounts.

Microsoft is continually working with financial institutions and updates the list of available financial institutions on http://www.microsoft.com/money/bankonline.aspx as their status changes.

MORE INFORMATION

When you set up accounts in Microsoft Money 2003 or later versions, your financial institution may not appear in the list. You may still be able to use the online banking features in Money if your bank offers financial statements for online download in Open Financial Exchange (OFX) or in Quicken Interchange Format (QIF). To determine if your financial institution offers downloadable OFX or QIF financial statements, contact your financial institution.

After you confirm that OFX format or QIF format files are available, you have to set up and configure an account in Money. To do this, follow these steps:

Money 2003 and 2004

  1. In Money, click Account List.
  2. Click Set up accounts.
  3. Click Add a new account.
  4. In the Assign a financial institution dialog box, click Held at, type the name of the financial institution, and then click Next.
  5. When you are prompted to confirm the name of the financial institution, click (Not Listed), and then click Next.
